Spring is almost here, which means it’s the perfect time to swap out winter decor for something fresh and cheerful. How to Create a Boxwood & Bicycle Spring Wreath

I focused on painting the frame and left the wheels, seat, and handles unpainted for contrast. Use a small brush for detail work and slip a piece of paper between overlapping parts to protect areas you don’t want painted. Let paint dry completely before moving on.
2. Make a small basket
If you can’t find a miniature basket that fits the bike, make one from thin rope or twine and hot glue. Start with a small circle as the base, glue successive coils of rope on top of each other until the base is the right size, then build the sides up by stacking and gluing coils. Hold the basket next to the bike periodically to check the fit.
3. Add flowers to the basket
Arrange small faux blooms and filler inside the basket and secure them with hot glue. Trim stems as needed so the flowers sit naturally and don’t overwhelm the basket’s scale. Choose colors that complement your wreath and front door finish for cohesive curb appeal.
4. Attach the basket to the bike
Use hot glue to secure the finished basket to the bike’s front area. Make sure the basket sits level and reinforce it with a little extra glue on contact points so it won’t shift when you hang the wreath.
5. Attach the bike or fence to the wreath
Position the bike accent on the wreath where it looks balanced—typically off-center for a playful look. Use floral wire threaded through the bike and around the wreath frame to secure it tightly. Wrap the wire neatly on the back so it’s hidden and give the piece a gentle tug to ensure it’s stable.
6. Finish with a bow
Create a simple wired-ribbon bow or use a pre-made bow to add a finishing touch. Attach the bow with floral wire or hot glue in a location that complements the bike—either near the top for hanging or bottom-left for a classic accent. The ribbon ties the design together and adds a pop of pattern or color.
That’s it—you’re done! This wreath took about an hour to assemble and makes a warm, welcoming statement at the door. It’s a little extra, but I love the personality it adds to the entry.
