Welcome to my Fall Home Tour! I’m so glad you stopped by to see how I’ve brought a few autumn touches into our home this year.
Yesterday the humidity finally dropped and the high was only 79—so refreshing! We even put on sweaters, jackets, and boots for dinner. That little hint of cool weather felt like an invitation to celebrate, so I picked up some cheerful mums to add a touch of fall color around the house.
Ahhh … fall, you’re finally here. I always look forward to this season—the light, the colors, the layers—and this year is no exception, even if my mornings now include an early wake-up from my little one.
I could have staged a perfect blogger photo of myself opening the door in my fall outfit, but the truth is I usually decorate in comfortable clothes—sweats and a ponytail—and that’s exactly how this tour came together.

If you saw my fall mantel already, you might recognize some of these touches. I’m six months pregnant, so my decorating this year is a bit more pared back than in previous seasons. I’m focusing on simple, effective ways to add autumn color to what I already own rather than doing a full seasonal overhaul.
Instead of packing away my turquoise pieces, I layered in oranges, yellows, and reds to create a warm fall palette that still reflects my style. Keeping signature colors year-round makes decorating feel more authentic and less like a complete redecorating project each season.
I did pick up a couple of new pieces this year—a beautiful blue pumpkin watercolor by Lucy from Craftberry Bush blends beautifully with my turquoise decor and adds a delicate, artistic touch to the room. I love how small additions like that can refresh a space without overhauling it.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves for the rest of the tour—there are lots of simple vignettes and cozy corners I’m enjoying this season.
On a recent weekend trip to the Smoky Mountains with friends, we made mason jar ring pumpkins—I adore how they turned out. They’re an easy, rustic craft that adds instant charm around the house.

I found this vintage autumn tablecloth at a yard sale last year and love the warm, nostalgic feel it adds. Right now it’s draped over a dresser in the living room while we rearrange furniture for our baby girl. I’m tempted to repurpose pieces of it—maybe into embroidered hoops or other small projects.
And before you get the impression that my home always looks this tidy, a little reality check: Miss A—my three-and-a-half-year-old—came home from preschool one day and, pleasantly surprised, exclaimed, “Oh mama! You cleaned up for me! I love it!!” Most days there are toys and dollhouses scattered about, but I try to create little pockets of calm and seasonal charm that are easy to maintain.
