After a long, rainy winter I’m so glad to be seeing the first signs of spring. These floral-inspired decorations have me excited for the season ahead.
I finally finished decorating my house for spring and I’m excited to share the result. I love changing my decor each season—finding fresh ways to use pieces I already own and mixing in a few new items. This year I discovered I have more faux flowers than it feels possible to use, so I embraced it: think flower shop vibes throughout the home.
I love the look of a flower shop, and until I can fill my rooms with fresh blooms every week, my faux botanicals—my “fauxtanicals”—will have to do. They let me layer textures and colors without worrying about wilting petals.

Last week I shared my spring tablescape centered around florals. Today I’m giving a closer look at the tiered tray. It usually lives in the living room, but I moved it to the dining room this season and like how it anchors the table setting.
I tucked faux blooms into galvanized buckets filled with lamb’s ear and cotton stems. Those lamb’s ear and cotton stems stay year-round; I just swap out the seasonal accent pieces. Lavender in summer, pomegranates at Christmas—simple swaps keep the arrangement feeling fresh every season.
In the living room I enlarged one of my free spring printables to a 24″ x 36″ poster and placed it in an existing frame. The printable features the quote, “Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.” — Hans Christian Andersen. I’ve created ten spring prints in all, and I’ve used several around the house to reinforce the floral theme.
I brought as many flowers as possible into the living areas to create a relaxed flower market vibe. The result feels cheerful, light, and layered—exactly the mood I wanted for spring.

I used one of the smaller printables on the mantel as well. There are ten total designs, and I placed a few across the kitchen and living room to tie the whole look together.
In the kitchen, I dressed up open shelves with more faux botanicals and additional printable art. Layering different flower stems, vases, and small accents adds depth and visual interest without feeling overdone.

A small aside: I used to be careful to exclude everyday items from photos, but our new stainless steel trash can is such a practical, attractive upgrade that I left it in a few shots—real life and pretty decor can coexist!
For photos I sometimes restyle the shelves to be extra picture-perfect. But the same styling tricks—grouping, layering, and repeating colors—work well in everyday arrangements too.

Look for faux florals, natural textures (baskets, rattan, and wood), simple vintage-style frames, and a few statement pieces like a tall vase or a tiered tray to create focal points.
Some of my favorite printables include a tulip blossom in a teacup and a heart-shaped arrangement of succulent bulbs. These subtle, cheerful pieces are easy to print and frame to refresh a room instantly.
