Summer to Fall Decor Ideas: Bamboo Shades and Dried Hydrangeas

Happy weekend! We officially returned to school this week, and while I always feel a little nostalgic as summer ends, I’m also excited to get back into a steady routine. With the kids back in class, I finally have more hours during the day to make progress on the home projects that have been patiently waiting.

First on my list is a new wall treatment in our primary bedroom. I’ve been imagining trim molding for some time, and I’m certain it will add character and make the room feel complete. I’m still working through measurements and details, but I hope to begin very soon — and I’ll share the full process as I go.

The start of a new school year always inspires me to reset the house, wrap up lingering projects, and start planning what’s next. With fall approaching, it’s the perfect moment for a quiet refresh and a few cozy updates. 💙

Welcome to Home Style Saturday #516! In this edition: simple summer-to-fall decorating ideas, guidance on choosing bamboo shades, a bright tropical deck refresh, tips for drying hydrangeas, and a rustic mixed berry crostata recipe to enjoy while summer winds down.
