Last year was the first time I went all-in on decorating for fall, and I loved how simple and cozy the house felt. It was the perfect bridge between summer and the holidays, so I’m keeping much of the same approach this year while adding a few new accent pieces to keep things fresh.

The Fall Living Room
For the living room, I’ve mixed items I already own with a few new pieces to create a cozy autumn vibe. New textured pillows and a cable-knit option bring warmth while a patterned lumbar pillow ties blues and taupes together for a balanced seasonal palette.
I invested in two large artisan vases last year to hold golden autumn leaf stems, and they remain a favorite focal point—the vase color naturally complements fall tones. I also plan to introduce new seating elements, like a navy swivel glider and a brown leather ottoman, to add comfort and depth.

The Fall Dining Room
The dining room is especially fun this year after my recent makeover. I selected paint, wallpaper, and furnishings that work year-round, so I’m excited to see how the space accepts fall accents. The new pumpkin-themed salad plates I purchased already look lovely layered on white plates with brass chargers.
For the table, I’ll pair faux pumpkins, hydrangea stems, and natural elements like a pear platter or a large white bowl filled with seasonal faux artichokes. Gold flatware and a soft runner help keep the table feeling elegant yet comfortable for autumn gatherings.

Fall in the Kitchen
In the kitchen I keep changes simple: swap printable art inside scalloped frames, add a runner, and place a few seasonal stems or a small grouping of pumpkins on the island. A floral Roman shade fabric or a tasteful lamp helps add warmth without overwhelming the space.
