It’s Christmas home tour season, and I’m excited to share my Christmas gallery wall and kitchen with you. My home is proudly dressed for the holidays. Last week I shared my Magnolia Wreath Living Room Mantel, and you can find the photos linked throughout the post.
My living room flows into the kitchen, and the short wall that divides the two spaces is where my new gallery wall lives. The frames aren’t brand new, but this year they’re filled with updated family photos. These frames sat empty for over a year, so it’s been gratifying to complete this spot and decorate it for Christmas.
Last year I filled these frames with wrapping paper and a few prints that have since been moved to the mantel. I’ve enjoyed switching the display seasonally, and this year’s photos make the space feel finished.
A pallet sign I made last year sits on my Everett console table and has become a favorite holiday touch. I also have a printable of an “O Holy Night” design that I swap into displays throughout the season.
Around the corner is the eat-in kitchen area, which I kept intentionally simple this year. I used free evergreen branches from the local hardware store for natural greenery—check local stores for leftover limbs and wood slices, which are great low-cost decor finds.
I hung a wreath with navy buffalo check ribbon on my DIY giant chalkboard and wrote “joy” in the center. A small sprig tucked into my DIY chalk holder adds a festive note without cluttering the counter.
Simple and sweet is the theme here—just a few well-chosen pieces to create a cozy holiday mood.
My farmhouse shelves are another favorite DIY project in this space. They were inexpensive to build and are fun to style for every season—this is the first year I’ve decorated them for Christmas, and I love the result.

Finally, we get into the kitchen. My favorite touch this year is a set of mini boxwood wreaths that sit on the cabinet doors—tiny but full of charm.
I was inspired by another blogger who displayed tiny wreaths on white cabinets last year. I couldn’t find affordable pre-made versions, so I improvised using a faux boxwood garland found in Target’s seasonal aisle. I cut the garland and fashioned it into several mini wreaths for a fraction of the cost.
Here’s a quick and easy way to make them:
- Boxwood garland (or similar faux garland)
- Floral wire cutters
- Floral wire
- Ribbon for hanging or tying
Wrap a short length of garland around itself until you achieve the desired fullness. Overlap the ends slightly, then secure them tightly with floral wire. Add a loop or a ribbon for hanging, and you have charming mini wreaths that cost very little.
These mini wreaths add instant holiday personality to cabinets, drawers, or hooks. They’re quick to make and easy to store for next year.
While taking these photos I enjoyed a festive peppermint white hot chocolate that feels like a special holiday treat. It’s rich, seasonal, and perfect for sipping while you decorate or bake.
One small corner of the kitchen serves as our coffee station. I switched the printable there to a Chalkboard Christmas Cookie Recipe print—cute and useful as baking season approaches.
